"In Canada Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday in October. Unlike the American tradition of remembering Pilgrims and settling in the New World, Canadians give thanks for a successful harvest. The harvest season falls earlier in Canada compared to the United States due to the simple fact that Canada is further north." (http://www.twilightbridge.com/hobbies/festivals/thanksgiving/canada/)
Mom was away at bloggy meet up, but we got to go with Dad to visit Grandma and Grandpa for a long weekend. Here are a couple of pictures that Dad took while we were away:

LOVE the wheelbarrow pictuers and the ones on the stairs. So cute!
i didn't know all that about Thanksgiving. we more try to celebrate it as a day of thanks than the pilgrims cause, well, the settlers weren't very nice to the natives. that is interesting you celebrate it more about the harvest. very smart!!
we hope you had fun visiting! we're glad you got out before the snow. hey Clover, now 2 of you can run thru your daddy's snow tunnels! fun fun!

Ok, the wheelbarrow pics are a blast!! You sure do look like you're having fun! Having a number of Canadian friends, and having visited up there quite a bit, I know why the Canadian Thanksgiving is earlier than ours, but thanks for providing the info!
