Helping Mom and Staying Warm

Mom has been home sick, so we are helping her to feel better by snuggling with her and keeping her warm. Here are some pictures...

First, two pictures of Mr. Chew. He is kind of just snuggling by himself:

And now me. Can you see me in the first one?

Guh....

Things are crazy here with house hunting/buying, packing, Olympics, bla bla bla...
Where does that leave us pugs? Snuggling. ALONE. (Except with each other.)

Hopefully mom and dad will slow down tonight to watch the women's hockey game and Virtue/Moir get a medal!!

Watching the Olympics with my dad. My face wrinkles look funny because I am upside down!

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

The New Years Adventure

I know this is extremely late, but I am so behind! When we went to visit grandma and grandpa over the holidays (New Years weekend) it started to get a bit stormy on the way there.

But we were super good pugs and just sat in our seats during the long drive.

We had a great visit, seeing lots of family and spending time together. But the whole time we were there, it was very stormy and windy - we didn't even want to go outside. The wind almost knocked me over a few times, but Chewy was fine since he is so heavy. Hehe.

Anyway, this is what it looked like up the street the morning we set out to leave:

Then it started getting worse...

The highway was closed and people were zooming into the ditch and into each other all over the place, so we stopped to stay the night at a motel. Thank goodness for the leftover turkey and clementines, because we were not getting anywhere!! (And thank goodness for the extra dog food too!)

We watched some tv, played some games, watched the weather network and hung out together while we waited out the storm.

The next day was a much better day for a drive, and we made it home safely! We even got some cool pictures from the car. The only harm was mom and dad missing their first day of work back after the holidays... oh well!

I got an award!

My friend Tiger Lily passed this award on to me. (Oh, and to Chewy too.)

The Super Scribbler award was started by The Scholastic Scribe to celebrate their two hundredth post two years ago. Here are the rules for this award:

1. Each Superior Scribbler (SS) must pass the Award on to 5 deserving blogger friends.

2. Each SS must link the author and name of the blog from whom he/she received the award.

3. Each SS must display the award on his/her blog and link to the post which explains the award.

4. Each SS is asked to visit the post which explains the award and add his/her name to the Mr. Linky List. (I just made a comment because I couldn't figure out the Mr. Linky.)

5. Each SS must post these rules on his/her blog.

Thanks Tiger Lily!! Now I am supposed to pick 5 friends to pass it on to. I know this is cheating a little bit, but I would like to award the first 5 friends to leave a comment on this post. Please take the award and post it on your blog!

And I will leave you with this picture of me sleeping on Chewy at the motel we stayed at when we got caught in a snow storm over the Christmas holidays:
