Hi buddies! My parents are getting married in 3 days!! Just wanted to pop in before that to say hello and I will be back after all the fun of visiting family and celebrating.
I will leave you with a dramatization of our excited faces. (And a flashback to when we weren't buried under tons of snow.)
Our friends Rachel, Winston & Clementine sent us a package over the Christmas holidays! It was a "shop local" kind of gift - there were handmade things for mom (a suuuuper delicious peach jam, some lovely body butter and an adorable pug necklace!) and puggy treats for Chewy and I. And do you see that pawesome squirrel?! Thanks so much guys - we are all getting a lot of use out of these items! :)
The greatest thing about our house is the forest of trails in behind our backyard. Unfortunately we couldn't use it in the summer because it was overrun with poison ivy. Since it is our property, we have to take care of that problem - it's a project for this coming spring/summer. But for now, with all the snow, we can use the trails! It's fun to go for walkies in there.
A while back (like at Hallowe'en!!) our friends Addie, Lucie and Hailey did a post about zombies and then gave out a surprise Zombie Survival Kit - they drew our names and so we received the kit in the mail! Check this out!!
There were little notes attached to each item, explaining what their use is against zombies.
Thanks SO much girls! I sure hope we never have to USE these items to ward off zombies, but at least we are prepared now!! In the meantime, we will just play with these things. :)
P.S. You should definitely check out the post 28 Squeak Toys Later - it's great!
P.S. I made one resolution for the new year: get back into my blogging groove. I used to be pretty good at posting and visiting my friends, but my mom's life got in the way. :( Now we are 3 weeks away from my parents' wedding, so once it is out of the way, I should be able to work on my resolution! Of course there will still be work and house renos (hopefully this year we'll finish the house!) but mom wants to make time to help me with blogging - it's something she really enjoys! Thanks for hanging in there with me. xoxo
