Merry Christmas!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day with family and friends!

Koal is here; we opened some toys this morning!

I (Clover) got excited and tried to open ALL the presents.

We've got a white Christmas here - wish you could see it better out the window!

Back later on with holiday recaps!

Love Clover & Chewy xo

It's a winter wonderland!

Guess what?

We woke up to this today:

Clover and cousin Koal are going back to sleep. It's important to sleep a lot and keep warm when it's cold and snowy out.

Happy Thanksgiving to our American friends!

* This is an old picture of us, but we thought with the pumpkins it might be good for Thanksgiving.

We hope you have a wonderful holiday! We already had our Thanksgiving back in October. Today we would like to tell you that we are very thankful for all of you! Thanks for sharing your lives with us and for sharing ours too. We are so lucky to have such amazing friends. xo

My new spot

It is so comfy to get right on top of Chewy and just go about my business there, like chewing a bone.

Thank goodness for warm brothers.

It's getting cold!!

Need more blankies and heaters!

There's been a few little snow flurries here, but nothing major, nothing sticking just yet! We still have a little more time to clean the leaves out of the yard and get the winter tires on. Well actually I am not going to do either of those things. I will snuggle with Chewy until the woodstove is on!

Another weird bird...

Check out this freaky thing in our yard... sorry for such blurry pictures.

Is it a chicken?? It had a fan tail... stripey black and white, with black around it's head. It was making chicken-like movements. So weird. There are a lot of farms around here, so mom's guess is chicken. What do you think?

Happy Hallowe'en!

This weekend we went to a Hallowe'en party at Aunt Jenni's. She loves this holiday and always prepares the best party. Our cousin Koal was really excited that we came to the party too.

Here are the three of us in costume. Koal's squirrel head was falling off and Chewy's rider was also falling off. (Do you remember this butterfly costume that Katie and Sparky's mom made for me? I love it!)

I found Koal's stash of toys, so fun. (I took off my costume to play, and was wearing my sweater from Aunt Punchy.)

Want to see some of the party food?

Here is the Hallowe'en candy area... with someone's gloves from their costume.

Check out this spread... Aunt Jenni makes the best stuff. Look at all the cupcakes and Hallowe'eny things!

Mummy meatloaves!

Mom made these stuffed peppers that look like jack-o-lanterns.

Ewwww... Jello brains!

We had a blast... Hallowe'en is so fun!

Pooped out the day after the party. Can you see both of us in there?

Did anyone else go to a Hallowe'en party? Do you have special plans tonight? We are going to watch some Hallowe'en movies and wait for trick-or-treaters. Hope we get some!

Something crazy

This morning some wild turkeys (about 20 of them!) were marching up our road, and they turned into our driveway... all walking in a line. I think they are going to my friend Yukon's house.

Have you ever seen weird creatures like that in your yard?

We have a hallowe'en party this weekend - back on Monday with a Hallowe'en post. Stay safe this weekend!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends! Hope you are enjoying the long weekend with your families. Our big family dinner is tonight. The rest of the weekend we spent playing outside in the unusually beautiful and warm weather and doing house things like FINALLY finishing the roof; running to the hardware store, the dump (I don't think we will ever be rid of the piles of shingles around the house), and the farmer's market; winterizing the gardens; baking and doing laundry! Oh we also found and took care of a hornet problem, and saw a small mouse in the house. Yikes! After attempting to catch him (Mom named him Dudley) a few times, he seems to have run into our crawlspace basement. Anyone have experience with mice and have some tips for us? I hope Dudley will be able to live.... but not in our house.
Anyway, here are some pictures from the weekend:

Our front yard. Can you see the ghosts we hung in the trees?

Look at our big tree - almost all of its beautiful red leaves have fallen already!

Here I am after playing outside with my dad and my cuz toys.

Chewy on a walk in our back yard.

Me and Chew relaxing in the back porch after the hornets went away.

How did you spend your weekend? Is it still nice out where you live? Enjoy the rest of your weekend or/and the rest of the week everyone! xo

Quick update

Hello dear friends! All is well with us. We both recently had our annual vet appointments. I got the usual "she is perfect!" from my vet who loves me. (Side note: Dr. Andrew is also my sister-cousin Koal's vet, and he told Koal's mom that I am one of his most favourite dogs.)
Chewy got "his teeth are perfect!" from his vet. Hahaha. But really, the only comment he got was that he has to watch his weight, which is the thing we are always working on for him.
In case you are wondering, my parents love Dr. Andrew so much (and he is an expert on me and my issues with allergies, corneal ulcers, seizures, special quirks, etc.) that they drive me an hour each way to my appointments. Chewy sees the affiliated vet in our town, (who is equally amazing!) because he doesn't have any weird issues special quirks like I do. BOL!
I have to jet for now, but look at this old picture of me my mom found on her work computer. It's from when I was 12 weeks old, road tripping to Nova Scotia. For 10-points, can any of my American buddies tell me what is interesting about this Timmy's cup?

Have a great weekend!

Blue eggs

I can't get enough of these blue eggs from my fish toy.

Am I the only one who gets obsessed with certain toys?

P.S. My mom picked this toy up for me at the Three Dog Bakery in Indianapolis.

Where does the time go?!

It seems like just yesterday that we couldn't play outside because of this:

And now it's almost fall! The leaves are starting to turn red here and the nights are getting cooler.

I have missed all my blog buddies this summer. We've been busy here working on the house and going to weddings and a few other events. My mom went to a conference in Newfoundland where it was extremely foggy...

There were colourful houses...

Interestingly, Newfoundland is the birthplace of the Newfoundland dog... (seen here with his relative the Labrador!)

And of course we've been getting some napping in.

What have you all been up to?

Puggersitting

Our "little" cousin Koal is staying with us this weekend. She and Chewy are best friends. See?

Friday, May 20, 2011

Sorry dudes...

I keep promising that I will be back to regular blogging and visiting, but it doesn't seem to be happening. I really hope to be back soon (and plan on it)...
I miss all of you SO much.
xoxo
p.s. sending extra love and hugs out into the blogosphere for all my friends who need it right now.

Just keep swimming...

Things are coming along with house business here, but it still seems like we're treading water some days...

We've got a brand new human cousin to love, baby A:

We have a pile of shingles sitting on our roof, waiting for Dad and uncles B and E to install them this weekend.

I'll just wait here until it's play time... Thank goodness my parents still make time to play with me!!
