My Holidays

It's been a busy couple of weeks! Do you want to hear about my Christmas? On Christmas Eve we put on our Christmas jammies that Aunt Punchy made, and waited for Santa.

We woke up early on Christmas day and opened presents at home.

Chewy got an Ottawa Senators jersey and a ring toy (he loves rings for some reason!) and I got a nylabone and blue fish toy with eggs inside!

Then we all piled into the car and drove an hour to Nana's house. The whole family was there (even cousin Koal!) and we had a super fun day.

Dad took the three of us on walks together.

Chewy waited around in the kitchen for food to fall.

I rested in my bed on Dad's foot.

I tried to open all the gifts under the tree before present opening time. I was just trying to be helpful! We had brunch, and visited and then before you know it, it was time to eat dinner. After that us doglets all had naps in our fancy outfits while the humans played games.

On Boxing day we slept all day because we were so tired from Christmas day!

The next day, our Uncle Brad came over. Then Mom and Dad left and didn't come back for TWO WHOLE DAYS! What could they have been up to? As it turns out, they were visiting Grandma and Grandpa and Dad's family. Without us!! Look what they put in our seats on their way home, instead of us.

Anyway, at least they brought back stuff for us - new beds from Grandma and Grandpa, and some Christmas kongs from our lab cousin Hannah!

Hope you all enjoyed a nice holiday too with your families and friends. Please tell me about what you have been up to! xoxo

Snowed in!

Can I use that as an excuse for being a terrible blogger? Sorry again buddies. I hope I can make it up to you by sharing some pictures from the month so far, and by coming to visit all of your bloggies this weekend!

Playing in my new bed of choice: laundry basket with clean laundry in it.

Ok, now look at these pics. Remember baby Koal?? She is BIGGER than me now! See:

She is still pretty cute though!

EDIT:

Please send good vibes to Lorenza. She needs us!

Cold

It's getting really cold here! Every night before bed we snuggle close to our mom. She thinks it's cause we love her. It's really just because she is near the heater.

Chewy here...

...wishing all our American friends a Happy Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving in Canada happens in October, so it's business as usual for us. Things are coming along with house renovations, wedding plans and Christmas prep!

Enjoy some turkey tomorrow for us too, please!

Love Chewy & Clover too xoxo

Coney McConerson

Hi friends! Thanks for your concern about my cone, or "cone of shame" as many of you called it. Remember when I had a corneal ulcer back on my birthday? It cleared up pretty quickly, then I mysteriously got one in the other eye at the end of September? Well this one is a little more stubborn. My eye is quite a bit better, but the ulcer itself does not seem to be healing. I go back to the vet next weekend for a check up. If it hasn't healed by then, I might have to have surgery. Please keep your paws crossed for me!

Anyway, I don't really mind the cone at all - I have almost been wearing it steadily since May! Here are some pictures so you can see that I don't even care about it...

My new "bed"

I found the best new place to sleep - my dad's cooler bag that he takes to work for lunch. If you have one of these at your house, find it, and climb in! You'll love it.

We Remember

"Every year on November 11, Canadians pause in a silent moment of remembrance for the men and women who have served, and continue to serve our country during times of war, conflict and peace. We honour those who fought for Canada in the First World War (1914-1918), the Second World War (1939-1945), and the Korean War (1950-1953), as well as those who have served since then. More than 1,500,000 Canadians have served our country in this way, and more than 100,000 have died. They gave their lives and their futures so that we may live in peace.

We must remember. If we do not, the sacrifice of those one hundred thousand Canadian lives will be meaningless. They died for us, for their homes and families and friends, for a collection of traditions they cherished and a future they believed in; they died for Canada. The meaning of their sacrifice rests with our collective national consciousness; our future is their monument.

By remembering their service and their sacrifice, we recognize the tradition of freedom these men and women fought to preserve. They believed that their actions in the present would make a significant difference for the future, but it is up to us to ensure that their dream of peace is realized. On Remembrance Day, we acknowledge the courage and sacrifice of those who served their country and acknowledge our responsibility to work for the peace they fought hard to achieve."

Snow already

The day before Hallowe'en it started snowing here...

At my aunt's Hallowe'en party, my uncle batman posed outside in the blizzard. (Also - he made his own costume - isn't it pawesome?!)

When mom and dad got home from their party, this was the scene outside in our front yard (same view as the first picture in this post):

And the next morning in the backyard:

Crazy huh? It makes Chewy worried.

Doppelganger

I have one!! Check out this evidence:

NOT me. But looks like me, right?

Me and NOT me.

Me and NOT me again.

And look at this mess NOT me tried to pass off as my mess!

Here we have the actual proof that someone has been trying to steal my identity. She is sleeping in MY bed!! Chewy and I had to snuggle in HER bed while she snoozed on the big one.

Thank goodness we get to give her back after her visits. BOL! Just kidding, we love you Koal!

Back from Indy

Mom is back from Indianapolis! She had a lot of fun travelling with Aunt Punchy and cousin C, and meeting lots of puggies and their humans! She wants to thank everyone for such an awesome trip. I promise I will let her do a more detailed post later (this weekend), but if you want to see some pictures, you check out my sidebar and go visit some of the puggies she visited with. Heck, if you have a couple of hours, go visit all the buddies in my sidebar. Hehe.

Just wanted to show you a picture of my brother and I wearing our new sweaters from Aunt Punchy. You can visit her store here!

Hope I will get around to visit you this weekend! xo
