We have a new cousin!

Meet Dexter!

He is a one-year-old yorkie-pomeranian mix, and he came to visit us for the first time this week. I gave him my old lifejacket that doesn't fit me anymore. (He is wearing it in the above picture.) Dexter is really tiny, only 6 lbs!

Dad tried to get a group shot of us, but it didn't work.

This is the best one he got...

Summer Weekend - Part 2: Swimming

Part 2 - Swimming at Nana's

I looooove swimming, but had never been in a pool before. It is almost as fun, except that instead of going in myself, I have to get lifted in and out. This was Chewy's first swim ever! He only went in one time. I am not sure if he likes it as much as I do. Have a look at my pics! Only a few turned out. The first two are me, and the second two are my fat brother. I just have to figure out the best way to post my videos for you.

EDIT: Thanks for your tips about life jackets! Don't worry, Chewy was only "swimming" for about 10 seconds, and Mom was right with us the whole time. Before we go back to the pool we are going to get life jackets for sure. My old one is too small for me now - I passed it down to my new yorkie/pom cousin, Dexter. I will introduce you to him this week!

Summer Weekend - Part 1: At the farm

We have been having a super fun weekend! So much fun that I have to break it into two posts for you.

Part 1 - Visiting Grandma's Farm

Mom and Dad loaded up the car with me and Chewy, and Aunt Jenni, and away we went. It is fun to visit the farm because there are lots of other animals there. Here are my pictures from our visit.

In the car - let's go!!

Come on, Mom! Already stopping for coffee?!

We're here - check out these giant dogs! Fred seems to think he is some kind of superhero with that mask on.

Here is another horse. Oh no, that is Aunt Luna, the greyhound!

Uncle Berton thinks he is king of the house.

Chewy thinks it's all about the bench, so he tries it out too.

While we are eating lunch outside we see lots of other animals:

This predator scared my mom.

We spied these cows next door.

These are grandma's ducks - Puck and Alfalfa.

Fred has a snack of his own while we eat lunch.

The sheep from next door are always getting out of their yard. Here they are walking up the street.

Looks like they found their house!

That's all for this post. Going to the farm is fun!! Stay tuned for pictures from our next stop, swimming at Nana's!

Our Jails

When Mom and Dad are at work, Chewy and I sleep in our jails. We don't mind going in them and we are really good to hop in when Dad says "get to bed"! They are pretty spacious, and they are a safe and relaxing place for us to nap. Here are some pictures Dad took one day after work.

P.S. Don't worry, I always have fresh water in my jail, like Chew, but Dad took it out for the picture for some reason?

Let's help some friends

Our friend Dixie (AKA Da Bugg Gooroo) is in a contest and she needs our help to get more votes.

It costs $1 per vote, and the money goes towards the Indianapolis Humane Society - it's a great cause and we can help Dixie get into the top 12 and be a star in a calendar! Please go VOTE FOR DIXIE! And if you can tell any of your friends about it, that would help too. Check Dixie's blog for more details. Voting ends on Monday!

I have a new friend named Walter who is recovering from a bad car accident.

He can use lots of love and prayers and good thoughts to help him get better faster. His mom is an author and has written two books, and buying them will help to pay for Walter's medical care that he needs now after his accident. My mom ordered them and is excited to get them in the mail. I put two things in my sidebar so that you can read the beginning of each of the books. Please have a look and then if you can, maybe order some copies for yourself or for a friend!

Please visit our friend Dawn at Lydia & Pugs where you can enter her giveaway and learn more about voting for her design in a Coach Poppy contest.

And thanks so much to sweet Checkers for this pawesome award!

German Breakfast?

Aunt Jenni is home from Germany! I was so excited to see her, and immediately brought her my butterfly toy. She brought this delicious milch brotchen, telling us she ate some every day for breakfast while she was away.

My mom made this breakfast of milch brotchen, German chocolate, coffee in her new Starbucks Germany mug, and an apple. I am pretty sure this is not a real German breakfast, but that didn't stop my mom from calling it that.

I just didn't have the heart to tell her. Plus I was too tired....
