Things I Like

Hi everyone! Just wanted to check in to tell you things are going well with the new baby. I like her. I like sitting in her nursery. And I like her toys. Guess what? I also ate one of her diapers. I liked it too!

Baby is here!

It's a girl! She's healthy and happy and we are all really excited she has joined our family. Her name is Eliana. We are calling her Ellie.

We are just catching up on our sleep. Babies are hard work!
We'll try to come back soon with an update.

Lately...

Hello buddies! Where have we been? We will not be winning any blogger of the year awards, that's for sure. Well, mom and dad have pretty well finished working on the house now, and just in time! Our new baby brother or sister is due to arrive a week from today! He or she will probably be late... because we are a family of procrastinators. We've been keeping busy with our regular things like playing, eating, resting, snuggling, going on walks and entertaining our cousin dogs Koal and Oscar. It has been super extra hot here lately, so we are also trying to stay cool! Here are some pictures to prove we are just as cute as ever. Hope you are all having a great summer! xo

What we found...

We stayed at a doggie camp for a week while our parents went away for Aunt Jenni's wedding. We had a lot of fun with the kids and other dogs that live there and with some other dog visitors too. Our parents were told "Clover REALLY likes to run and play, and Chewy is so laid back, he just enjoyed sleeping on the deck." That basically sums up our lives.

Aparently there are lots of cool creatures in Jamaica, look at what we found on the camera!

Can you see the lizard tail in this guy's mouth?!

Baby Oscar

Hi friends! Thanks so much for all your nice words and congratulations after my last post. We are eagerly anticipating the arrival of our new sister or brother!

In the meantime, I want to introduce you to the new baby in the family - a really cute puggy baby! Our cousin Koal has a new brother, Oscar. They came to visit today - here are some pics:

Baby Oscar. Look at his cute brown leggies!

Chewy LOVES babies. Here he is checking out his new cousin.

New friend?!

What's all this stuff?

There's a new baby on the way! A little brother or sister for Chewy and I should arrive in July.

We're excited! And a bit confused... what does this mean? At first we thought we would have a new bitey-face partner, but mom says no, babies don't do that. Boy, we have a lot to learn. Time to start preparing... anyone have any tips?

Q & A

We were tagged by Coco Bean, Lady Godiva and Truffle to answer some questions about ourselves. Here we go!!

1. Describe yourself in 7 words.
Clover: playful, energetic, bossy, cute, sassy, determined, smart
Chewy: easy-going, friendly, snuggly, calm, lazy, loyal, funny

2. What keeps you up at night?
Clover: thinking about where my current toy obsession is (right now it's my two squeaky loofa dogs)
Chewy: being cold. As long as I have my nice fluffy blanket, I am good!

3. Who would you like to be?
Clover: I don't think I'd want to be anyone other than myself... I am pretty spoiled.
Chewy: I am really happy to be me. I love my family!

4. What are you wearing right now?
Clover: I am totally naked. It's ok, I am just at home.
Chewy: my regular expression of concern and worry.

5. What scares you?
Clover: other doggies and animals on tv, my reflection in windows at night
Chewy: when Clover starts barking and I don't know why

6. The best and worst of blogging.
Best: We have made so many wonderful friends! We love reading about them and interacting with them.
Worst: We can't keep up on reading and posting.

7. The last website I visited.
Coco Bean, Lady Godiva and Truffle's blog!

8. What is one thing I would change about myself.
Clover: I think I am perfect, but my parents would like it if I was a better listener. :)
Chewy: I would like to change the house instead of myself... why can't there be a heater/fire place/heat vent/sun spot in every area of the house?

9. Slankets yes or no.
Clover: If a slanket is like a snuggie... no. I have one, but I much prefer dresses.
Chewy: I also have one, and like wearing anything warm. But I prefer my harness. Attach a leash and let's go!

10. Tell us something about the dog that tagged you.
We were tagged by the three lovely sisters here. Coco Bean, Lady Godiva and Truffle are some of the cutest little chihuahuas we have ever seen. They all have different personalities and we wish we could play with them for real! Thanks for tagging us girlies!

We are supposed to tag 8 friends to play along, but we'd really like all of you to play! Please think about posting this Q&A on your blog too, if you are reading this. Or maybe you want to tell us in the comments what the 7 words are that best describe you?

Chewy the hero

A couple of weeks ago when our parents came home from work and let us outside, Chewy saved us all from an intruder!! Kind of.

When we go outside from the kitchen, we go into the screen porch first, then out into the yard. This particular night, Chewy ran right out and cornered our intruder. (Who happened to be hanging out in there because someone *cough cough* Dad, had yet to install the screen on our new door out there.) The intruder was a ruffed grouse. Just like the one we had in our yard in November, and posted about here, but we didn't know what it was then.

Anyway, so Chewy cornered it...here he is re-enacting that:

And then Dad picked up the hero and put him back in the house so he could set the bird free outside. The bird sat there for a few minutes...

Then flew away. Later Dad pointed out that when big scary Chewy ran outside, he bird was frightened and flew up, ripping a hole in the screen! Shoot.

Thanks for saving our lives, Chewy!

Playing in the snow

I can't stay outside for as long as I like because my paws get cold, but I can still play with my cuzes out there!
