I am 3 Today!!!
And as a gift, I get to wear a CONE for 4 weeks. I have pretty severe allergies (more on that in a later post) and my parents and vet think I accidentally scratched my cornea this week. I had a sad-looking eye for most of the week (infected-looking), and my parents were on the phone with my amazing vet every day with updates. I had to get drops in my eye to clear up the infection. On Saturday my eye seemed worse, and my mom was horrified to notice what appeared to be a chunk missing from my eye. My dad got on the phone to Dr. Andrew, and then away we went in the car. Dr. Andrew stayed at the clinic after they were closed and waited for us. Luckily I only scratched the first layer of the cornea - it would have been really bad if it was any deeper. So with my diagnosis of "ulcer in the left cornea", some new eye goop and a lovely cone, we headed back home. Here are some pics if you want to see my eye:

Oh dear we're so sorry to hear you're having troubles with your eye and with allergies. It's a good thing you have such a wonderful vet to help get you through this. Poor little baby. :(

Oh Clover! I am so happy that it's your birthday, but those pictures are so sad!! :(
As you know, I have the really bad allergies right along with you. My mom has been giving me some supplements that have made a HUGE difference in my itching this year. Please let me know if you want some more info about it!

aw, poor Clover! Clementine got an eye ulcer a couple of months ago - she didn't have to wear a cone, but she did get the icky eye drops in her eyes for weeks. Hope you feel better soon!

Happy Birfday Clover sweetie! So soad about the cone prezzie but I have had two cornea scrathces so far and its best to just ride them outs. I hope your eye ball thingy goes back real soon!

ohh..So sorry to hear about your eyes, Clover. Ouch! Wearing a cone is not a fun way to celebrate your birthday. Your vest sounds awesome! I am sure he will help to get you better quickly! No scratching again, okay? Good thing is you can still chew your bone with a cone on you.

Happy Birfday, Clover! I'm glad that your mama is getting your eye taken care of so you'll be all better soon. I know it's not fun wearing a cone (much more fun eating one!) but it'll be over soon. Bummer that it has to be on your birfday! Hope it's a happy one anyway!

We are sorry about your eye. Mom says sometimes that comes with the puggy terratory since those cute faces have those eyes right out there. Mom has a recipie from when she showed pugs she is going to look for that is great.(the vet can help you make it up. It may take her a day or so since she is not quite sure where the recipie is written down. But lots of pug folks swear by it. )
We have been mia so very much but mom is getting us back in the swing of things-she says so anyway.
We cannot believe you are already 3. You were just a baby when we started following you. Man, so much has happened in those 3 years for us(and lots of other people too I am sure)
